ESTIMATING

The Estimating module is important for a Job based system.

Costs can be tracked from the estimate by line number on the estimate. This means you can tell exactly where on the Job there have been cost overruns.

The Estimate module links with the Purchase Orders, Address Book, Accounts Payable, Quotes, Invoicing and any other module which is necessary to track costs and income.

This module is very helpful in giving an early warning as to problems on a particular Job. With exception reports and warning screens a Job going wrong is quickly identified.

If a Purchase Order item for a Job has no corresponding estimate line, then a problem is immediately discovered.

Estimates can be tied to an Estimator and a Quote.
