COSTING

The Costing module can be customized to do either Job Costs or Manufacturing Costs.

With Job Costing the costs of the Job are followed throughout the system. The Purchase Orders, Inventory Usage, Labor hours, Payables and any other are which produces a job expense is tracked accourding to the job.

From this a Profit/Loss statement for each job is produced, and the correct Work-in-Progress can be ascertained. It will also tell you when the Job is over estimate or extra costs not in the estimate are incurred.

For Manufacturing costing, each Finished product is broken down into its component parts. You will already have these if you use our Bill of Materials.

Labor can be broken down, overheads calculated, and from this you are able to ascertain profit per item, profit per category of Finished Product, profit per customer etc.
